Then it is for pups that are between 10.12 and 24.2 pounds. If he is under 10, I'd go with the other dose. I mean, even if he gets bigger, slightly underdosing then is better than overdosing now (IMO).

Maybe just keep these ones and get one of the smaller doses for next time? Then when he grows a bit, go back to this size?

Petsmart here in Ontario don't sell Advantage....only given from a Vets office! It wasn't a bad cost because I paid 80.00 for 6 doses....I consider that good anyway. lol About the Kilo's and pounds....I said Lucky is almost 10 POUNDS....and the doses are for dogs from 4.6 KGS TO 11 KGS!! I am the one that don't convert.....it's still old school to me....lol

That is actually a good point. I usually give less than needed ... I dose mine by syringe since I have so many. It is cheaper to buy the larger ones and dose it out. Not a big deal on flea preventatives to under dose unless you start seeing fleas and that has never happened to me thank goodness. I hate those little bugs.

Worry is never for nothing! Whenever I dose my dogs with anything, I plan for a day I will be here all day long, and I do it early in the day and early in the week. That way, I'm home to watch for any problems/reactions, and I can avoid ER vet fees by doing it early in the day, in time to see my regular vet if necessary, if they react. And I avoid the shift changes at the vet hospital which occurs at alot of places on the weekends.

And just because your pet was fine with that product last time, does not mean he will be fine every time. Always monitor them for any reactions, everytime, with anything... even shampoos, and laundry detergents.

lol, I thought I was the only one. Ellie is just so sensitive over some things, that she has to be watched. When I start a new drug, I put her vet on stand by. Sometimes I wish I had one of those dogs who could take any drug and eat any food.
