Finally just heard from the doctor. After a 4 hour surgery, she is out and the dr thinks it could not have gone better. She will be kept sedated for the next 24 hours or so and is still in recovery. She had to have 6 titanium screws put in her neck, my poor baby... Thanks you everybody so much for listening and your kind words, thoughts and prayers, and I will continue to keep you posted.

Sounds great so far! I bet you were on pins and needles waiting to hear. Wow a four hour surgery on such a tiny baby sounds really long. And six screws, the vet must have really been careful. I hope everything continues to go well, lord knows you have done everything possible for your baby, hang in there!

I'm so happy and relieved to hear that Gucci's doctor was so positive after the surgery. You and your poor little baby have been through so much already. I will continue to pray for both of you.

Just got off the phone with the doctor. He said Gucci is up and trying to walk around but that she is extremely wobbly and he's not sure if it's from the surgery, all the drugs he has her on or the cast but says he is still pleased with the way it went. He is going to try her on soft foods tonight and will call again tomorrow with another progress report. We are aiming for her coming home on Saturday but it may be Monday. I will continue to keep this updated because I so appreciate all the prayers and support - thanks
