| Alfie has a grade 1 heart murmur also and my Vet is not concerned in the least and it doesn't sound like yours is either.

| No, he's not concerned about the murmur at all. I didn't think to ask him to grade it but he told me that it was pretty mild. I'm thrilled that the tests were normal, but I'd sure like to know what made Chelsea collapse with the low heart rate and the arrhythmia.

I know you're a good mommy and Chelsea is in good hands with you. Try not to worry and just keep squeezing her silly.

| Did you ask the cardiologist his thoughts on her collapse? Or if he's giving your vet a report check with your regular vet first... I'd be curious too if it were my dog.... it would be nice to know when to expect any future occurences or things to do to prevent a problem... I'd have a problem just trying to pretend it didn't happen....

I'm not pretending it didn't happen. I've taken Chelsea in for test after test with 3 different doctors, including a specialist, and none of them can find anything wrong. Do you have any suggestions on what more I can do, because I've certainly done everything I can think of?

I also questioned him on whether we should be doing additional testing and he was confident in the original instructions he gave me. He said we're doing what he would be doing if Chelsea were his. He does not know what caused Chelsea's collapse but strongly suspects that she managed to swallow something that first morning, as unlikely as I thought that was. Given that Chelsea is eating/drinking well, has had no diarrhea/vomiting, and her abdomen appeared normal upon exam, Dr. Hodges feels a GI issue may still be a slight possibility but he doesn't think it likely. Chelsea has had no further episodes and seems to back to her old 'wild child' self. Her pulse has been strong and steady ever time I've taken it. So, I am to continue watching her and monitoring her pulse while I pray she did get into something and this was just a one time thing. It seems no matter how careful I am, I can't be careful enough. Thank you again for all the prayers and well wishes. Chelsea sends wet puppy licks to you all. ![]() Bonny
