Thanks for telling me! I knew nothing about it and its always best to be safe then sorry.
I will ring my vet tomorrow and let him know, I dont know if it was a slug or not but it looked like it.

I would imagine that anything she had been chewing on would, when falling out of her mouth, appear...well....sluggish.....as in slow.....

Okay so I rang my vet this morning and he said that there is a tablet I can get for Poppy just incase she has picked up lung worm from the slug.
He told me to give her 1/4 of the tablet and that should do it, no more medication needed.

Going to pick it up tonight.

glad everything is sorted...there are so many things out there that can harm our little dogs, its very scary!

Ewww...I really gross out over slugs. Hopefully Poppy has learned her lesson! Rocco didn't eat one, but he was RUBBING HIS HEAD into a squished one in the grass. I had to wash his head and mustache, which STUNK OF DEAD SLUG!!!
