Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Scarlett is limping She and Rhett were playing and he jumped off the couch and landed on her. Now she's favoring her left hind leg. She doesn't cry or pull away when I palpate her hips or her knee, so I don't think it's dislocated. I have her in the crate right now trying to get her to rest for awhile, then we will make a decision about going to the ER vet. She's crying in there because she wants to come out, it's heart breaking. Sigh. Why do these things always happen after normal business hours?

| I hope she feels better soon and it just something minor. Things always seem to go wrong after hours. |

| Oh, no! I'm sorry your lil girl is hurt. It's the same with kids, though. They always get hurt after hours. I hope it's temporary. Sigh...

| Things always go wrong after hours and on weekends. It sounds just like what happened to Max. You say she's favoring her hind leg. Is she holding it up you can tell that's the hurt leg when she walks. Hopefully it's nothing and a little rest will help her. It took Max 2 full weeks with to stop limping.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Yes, she was holding up the leg. She rested for a little while and isn't limping as much. I put her back in the crate and she's sleeping now, I'll check her again in a couple of hours. Hopefully it's just a pulled muscle, but I think I'll take her in to see my vet in the morning and have her x-rayed just to be on the safe side.

| It was a holiday for me. Thanksgiving Day afternoon, 2008, Kacee was running like a maniac thru her fenced-in yard. She saw two dogs run thru the corner of my front lawn. She turned wrong and went flat down. She had torn the tendons in her right rear knee completely in two! She could walk on it, but limped. She had surgery to put it all together again and 8 weeks of no jumping - if you can imagine that! She's as good as new! She's the only one I've ever had get hurt in my life though. That's a pretty good record.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I hope with a little more rest she will be fine. I think we see the ER vets more than my regular vets. Mine always get sick or inured in the evenings or weekends too.

♥ Catherine My Love ♥ Donating Member | Any update? I know that when our rescue boy, Stitch, was limping, I couldn't feel anything either, but it turned out he had a dislocated hip and some genetic issues - required surgery - femoral head ostectomy. We are praying for just a strained muscle! Prayers are with you! XOXOXO Sarah, Catherine, Stitch, Lilo, Dakota, Celika, Lexi and the skin kids

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | She's walking better this morning, but she still limps when she tries to run. Keeping her quiet has been a nightmare. She cried the entire time in her crate, so we ended up putting her back in our bed- she slept great, I didn't out of fear she would try to jump down. We have an 11:15 vet appointment, so I'll update when we get back.

| If things are going to happen it seems to be on off hours, weekends or holidays. I had an emergency on Christmas Eve and my Mom had one on Easter Sunday. I am keeping Scarlett in my prayers that all she needs is rest and nothing more. Please let us know how she is and what the vet says, ok? Dyan |
