| ![]() Hey my 1yr 8m never had anal gland issues now i have a 3 month old and i noticed a red lump actully coming out of her but. what made me look was her poop looked very thin, i am really concerned and am even wondering could this be anal glands. i dont know how to add a pic or i would. can i wait till morning to go to vet she does not appear to be in any pain or discomfort, i actully saw her scoot her but on the floor yesterday. please any advice and if anyone wants to see a pic send me an email. just want to be able to know i can take her to the vet in the am the animal hospitals around here charge triple, will go with no hesitation if it is recommended not to wait |

| ![]() It does not sound like something that you need to go to the ED for; but he definitely needs to be seen in AM. Let us know how it goes. ![]()

If by thin looking poop you mean how big around it is compared to normal, then yes she probably needs them expressed. The red bump is probably the gland possibly about to rupture so I would not put off getting her to a vet in the A.M. as it is very painful. I always know when mine need their anals expressed as the poops do thin out as you described. | |
