| ![]() I have a 7lb. Yorkie on Flagl & pro-pectalin due to panceatitus. I gave him boiled chicken & rice 6am + meds. It is now 10:40 and he still has not drank water. I tried orange Gatorade he wouldn't touch it. On the up side no loose stool since last night. Thank you in advance, Esther |

| ![]() Dogs who get wet food sometimes don't drink. Mine rarely drinks at all... If your pup is used to wet food and usually drinks when eating it, that could be a problem. But if usually eating kibble, the two can't be compared. This food would provide most or all required liquid (because wet/homecooked food is 70%+ water).

| ![]() so sorry to hear of your little ones pancreatitis. it can be very hard on them! when nika recovered from her 1st spell of pancreatitis, she did not want to eat or drink for us either. we had to use a little eyedropper n carefully make her drink for a day or so. you should definately call your vet back and see what they suggest. you don't want dehydration to set in! they are so small, it doesn't take long. good luck & i'm hoping for a speedy recovery for your little one! it is so hard when they're sick! ~ hugs ~ carrie welcome to yorkie talk!

| ![]() Thank you everyone for your advise and concern. Petey is acting better he even chased a cat out of the yard tonight. He hasn't had a bm then again the only thing he's eaten was chicken and rice per vet. Bland food for 48 hours. I bought fat free low sodium chicken broth added little water and he drank some of that earlier. Later he had small amount of water. The vet did say he had a mild case this time. He is my baby. I lost his companion Easter due to tumor in the heart inoperable. We are both having a hard time dealing with this. Sophie was also 10 yrs old. God bless Esther |

| ![]() Sending well wishes your way, it is so hard to see our little ones not feeling well. Just a thought, when I can't get Lexi to drink water...I use a little pink measuring cup and pour bottled water in it...and hold it for her. Don't know what it is but she drinks from it everytime...guess she thinks she is being waited on...LOL little princess ![]()

| ![]() I'm glad your little one is feeling better. Just thought I'd pass along what I do to get mine to drink water when she otherwise isn't interested. I put a bunch of crushed ice in her water bowl, then add the water and she comes running now! She drinks for a long, long time. She seems to love the ice cold water. ![]()
