Been following your thread, and so glad to hear all is well w/Carlo...and yes, I vote for a new piece, but then I'm from Texas, as that's just what you do w/your extra cash lol...

I just saw this thread. Glad to hear Carlo is doing well and will be okay. It really is tough not to get scared when something like that happens and to not fear the worse when you've actually had the worse.

That was a good point you made about the emergency vet. I had to take Libby, my lymphoma dog to the emergency clinic after a negative reaction to one of the chemo meds and she was suppose to only receive regular ringers for her IV, not lactated ringers. I remember mentioning it to the vet tech, but she ended up getting the lactated ringers anyway.

Great news! I'm so glad that Carlo is back on his road to recovery. :thumbup: Believe me I know exactly what you mean about the traffic in Chicago. Winter is just around the corner and then the real fun will start. :rolleyes:

Saw your thread and it scared me. I am glad his cancer isn't returning, but I am sorry to read he had an ulcer. Ouch! I hope he'll be right as rain soon!:)

He is feeling much better now. He ate, had a nap, and received a lot of hugs. I had to give him a little more food to make up for some of what he did not get this morning. Either his snoring is getting louder, or my hearing loss is improving. Thank you so much for being the best!

What a relief to hear Carlo is feeling better, I've thought of him often today and am just now catching up.

When trying to convince your better half, you might want to remember advice a friend gave me when I was anxious about asking for another yorkie...Reno....her words of wisdom...."it is easier to ask for forgiveness, than it is permission"...worked on her hubby:p

HOORAH!! wow i just saw this whole thread and went from tears to cheers in less then 2 minutes. Carlo you big beautiful darling if you couldnt tell YT LOVES YOU all of our hearts beat with yours and when your day does come to cross the rainbow bridge (many years from now cause you have to keep that sassy older sister of yours in line ) I know all of our hearts will skip several beats hugs and kisses and many well wishes to you big boy and to your wonderful supportive family!

That Ulcer medication is working fast. He seems back to normal as far as how he is acting and eating. He got up, went outside, begged for a treat, ate, and is now snoring.

On a side note, Marge said no new pistol as I have enough. I will work on her. Guess in reality I do not need one, and Carlo will be going in for another Round of Test and Ultrasound, X-rays, etc in 2 months that will cost a few dollars, and I also need to get down to TX for a Hog. My Cousin wants me come down in early Nov for Deer season, but I am not into shooting Bambi....and consider it my civic duty to take one of 7,000,000 destructive Texas hogs out.

Have you tried hog huntin' in Louisiana? In some places, you don't even have to get out of your car...lol....you can pretty much see them running up and down the highways...really!!!

I hear they are great in LA as well as Alabama and parts of Ga. I like TX because I hunt on my cousins land and no one bothers us. They are exploding real fast all over the South.

My dh had a great time in southeast GA hog hunting last year, :rolleyes: we have the head to prove it. LOL

Oh WOW Steve, you said something I never thought I would hear, you don't need another gun.:p Sure wish I could teach my dh that phrase. He had the nerve to ask his sister to rethink her wedding date in Nov. because it is the first weekend of muzzleloading season here in TN.:rolleyes:
