According to the link you are basing the thought of bloat off of, it says there wont be any gurgling. Gurgling is a sign of digestive upset. It's good, because that means that the body is working to get through whatever the upset it. I'd be scared if there wasn't any noise and she was very lethargic, like not moving.

Is it possible that she's just tired? You did say it was after 2 am there? Maybe she feels sick and is tired. If it's not the normal part of day when she'd be up then she could be tired.

If she isn't continually trying to vomit then I would say it's not bloat. The problem with trying to figure out what's wrong by yourself is that those symptoms can mean a number of different things.

do you have some pepto on hand or pepcid; anything to settle her stomach. don't let her drink anymore; gurgling noises are signs of digestive upset.

She needs to stay hydrated, if you don't let her drink anything and she is already dehydrated then she could die. I would NOT refrain from letting her drink water, if you want to hold off on food that's fine. What do the doctors tell us when we are sick? STAY HYDRATED. Flush whatever bad bacteria there is out. You must allow her access to water.

not if she's having digestive upset; dogs digestive system is different; she can get pancreatitis just from drinking water. i have been there and it's best not to give anything. she will keep vomiting the more she drinks; not to mention water can dilute the electrolyte making her more dehydrated.

Maybe you should research pickles and dogs who get sick from them. How many did she eat? How much does she weigh? Was there anything else she could have possibly gotten into? Were her symptoms directly after eating the pickles? What else has she eaten today?

She seems ok lying down, or sitting. She doesn't seem to be reluctant to move, she followed me when I had to go to the bathroom just now. But she's whining. A lot. She's not a whiner. And no matter how late it is, she's always quite alert and bouncing with energy.

When I press her belly, she groans. I don't know. I'm about to go crazy.

Not to be rude, but I really disagree with that. I've worked closely with a Holistic vet and have had a few instances of sick dogs of my own. Drinking water is a good thing. I've never been told to keep water from them.

That's my opinion, and I feel very strongly about it. I'm not trying to be rude...

she seems in pain; she needs to see a vet; will keep u in my prayers.

I have no pepto or pepcid.

I have googled pickles up and down. I cannot find anything that says pickles are dangerous, or even vinegar. She ate 2 pieces as big as the tip of my forefinger. She vomited about 3 hours after eating the pickles.

Her heart rate is about 110-120 per minute.

ellie mae; u have experience with pancreatitis; when an attack is coming don't you have to withhold water too because it can make it worst?

The only thing about withholding water is she has vommited alot and could be dehydrating

I didn't mean to say that pancreatitis would be entirely out of the question, and I just think that having no history of it it's not a good idea to scare her owner and keep water away from her. It could very well just be a digestive upset. The electrolyte thing is why I previously recommended pedialyte. All I'm saying is that when you have no choice but to sit home and monotor symptoms, you should'nt immediately keep the dog from water. There's no real reason to think it pancreatitis... so I think it's a little premature to base care off of that.

Friends, please say a prayer for Mo. I hope I can get a vet as early as 6 AM. It's 3 more hours.
