| not going potty... throwing up so everyone pretty much knows the problems that alice has had. so alice is almost done with her giardia. i went to the vet on thursday and they said they got a low positive on the test. so we have been continuing her meds. she has been pooping normal looking poops so thats been good. so i guess i'm concerned because she has been going less often, once a day late at night, but she hasnt gone since saturday night around mid night. also this morning she threw up and she has been looking kind of depressed with her ears down. i don't really know what this means. maybe its nothing but i don't know. I had an appointment for the vet for today at 2 and i'll ask them... i guess figured I'd ask everyone on here first. (she has been eating and drinking normal.) thats all. -alora

| Just saw your post. I'm glad you have an appointment with the vet. They will examine her and see what is going on. Let us know when you are able how she is doing. |

| Vomiting is a symptom of Giardia, but her GI tract is probably very sensitive right now between the infection and the meds that they have her on. A vet visit is a great idea, also you might want to try some probiotic/enzyme powder in her food to reestablish the natural flora in her tract. Good luck, I sure hope that she is feeling like herself soon. |

| lil fu fu girl- thats actually exactly what the vet suggested. he gave me some probiotic/enzyme powder to put on her food. he said if she throws up again to take her in, but he just thinks that her stomach is acting up from the meds. hopefully the power will help. i'm also trying to change her food. she was eating natures recipe but she hated it so she wasnt eating a lot, so i got royal canin yorkie puppy food and she LOVES it. haha. so maybe with the diet change and the probiotics it will get her system back in order. she just has such a sensative tummy from being sick for so long. she did end up pooping last night and this morning so I think shes getting back to normal. OH I have a question about ears. so we gave her a bath yesterday and her one ear in down and the other is sticking up like they always do. could this mean she was water in her ear? its still down this morning. she looks so silly. thanks!
