Wow, I am just seeing this. So sorry this has happened. Sending you lot's of hugs. |
I am so sorry that Max is sick. Just try to stay focused until the morning. |
Oh my gosh. I am just seeing this and reading all of your posts has my heart breaking for you. I am praying for you and Max. He is such a sweetheart. I know it is hard but as many others have said try to focus on the present. One baby step at a time. |
I feel so bad for you and your new baby. I know how heart breaking it is to have a sick puppy. You could tell the breeder, if you decide to keep him, that when she sells the puppy she is offering as a replacement to give you the money to help offset vet bills. It is so unfortunate that she is being so unreasonable. This should be her problem, not yours. When my Cali had thousands of dollars in vet bills from the 3rd day I had her the breeder said so sorry. When I got Dixie from a reputable breeder and she ended up dying of congenital kidney failure after I had her 5 weeks, the breeder cried with me, gave me another puppy when I was ready and gave some financial assistance for incurred vet bills. Unfortunately, sometimes we only find out how good or bad a breeder is when something like this happens. I am praying your baby will pull out of this and live a long and healthy life with you. |
I'm sad for you and sadder for Max and I'm mad as hell at this "breeder" - she is not the person you thought she would be, and the fact that she can't afford a surgery for LS makes me wonder how she can afford to breed yorkies. I'm hoping for the best and I know what you are going through in deciding whether to keep him because we went through the same thing with our dog Daisy who was very sick as a pup. Keep us posted. |
Awe I havn't been here in a few days and just seen this :( I remember seeing your posts about looking for a new baby. So sorry you are going through this after just finding him. You both are in my thoughts! |

I am sorry that your puppy is not doing well. But I don't think you should jump to conclusions until the test results come back. Arguing with the breeder over something that might not even be is futile. Wait until you get the results and if they show positive for LS then you can approach the breeder with your concerns. Good Luck, I hope it is nothing serious. |
I can't believe I am reading this! I fell a little in love with Max just seeing his pictures and video. I can't imagine your heartache after having that darling little imp for five days. Please, please try not to imagine the worse, love on him and wait and see what the results indicate. You've done everything you could at this point. You'll make yourself crazy with fear and grief. With a yorkie, the first thing that comes to mind for many people and I am sure most vets is LS. But hopefully it isn't LS or anything else serious. Max is in our thoughts. |
You and Max are in our thoughts and prayers. |
I cannot believe how many of you are so ready to bash the breeder before knowing what is causing the problem. The vet mentioned LS but he also mentioned hypoglycemia, and regardles of whether or not the vet thinks it could be the Sentinel, it could be if that is listed as one of the side affects. I can understand the OP being upset, but for everyone else to just jump to conclusions, ready to crucify the breeder, is ridiculous. I hope it is nothing serious and all is well tomorrow. |
Prayers and good wishes for you, Max and Cooper. Hope everything turns out to be okay tomorrow. |

That is just beyond disgusting. :thumbdown:thumbdown |

Absolutely something could have happened in 5 days. A Fall, playing to rough and hitting his head, the chemicals that she fed him, a change in diet, hypoglycemia....... Carpet deodorizer, household cleaners, the list is endless. What are the chances that a puppy would show signs of LS within 5 days of being rehomed? Wait for the test results. |

I'm so so so sorry Max is ill. I hope and pray that the blood work gives you definite answers. The worst part is always waiting. Sending you guys some (((HUGS))) |

Just wait for the results and hope for the best. She is probably upset also. If it is LS it is a lot for her to digest as well as you. |
Our Prayers are with you and Max. |

I'm sorry. But NO reputable breeder would just come out and say that. I agree that you need to just wait and see what the results are, etc, as it may be something that was not the breeders fault, but for a breeder to say that... is totally morally wrong. |
I'm sorry for the worry that you are going through right now. I'm sending a bunch of positive thoughts your way that you receive good news. |

The focus should be on taking care of Max and supporting you through this ordeal. |
I am not blaming the breeder. I am just upset that my puppy is ill. I will wait for the test results. I am not saying it is LS. I have no idea what it is. I created this thread for comfort and appreciate everyone who is making me feel stronger. |
This is so heartbreaking to read; I can only imagine how horrible this for you, and I am so sorry that Max is sick right now. I am praying that this is temporary and that he soon will be running around playing with Cooper without a care in the world. I know how much you already love him. His breeder may not have known that anything was wrong with him, but it doesn't change the fact that she is responsible for seeing that he gets the medical help that he needs. I really hope that this is behind you very quickly, and that you can enjoy your two boys living long and healthy lives. |
