Lethargic and hiding suddenly...What wrong? My three year old yorkie was fetching the ball in the backyard (her happy normal self) then all of the sudden drops the ball, wants to go in the house and is now hiding and lethargic. What happened? I thought maybe she pulled a muscle because she did this once before and that is how she acted but now she seems sick (not wanting to eat as much). The vet is closed because today is Sunday and I am taking her tomorrow. Has anyone ever experienced this before? Thanks for your help in advance.

Just wondering how things were going? I was wondering maybe it was too hot? My Charlie has to do shorter walks in the past week or so since we've been having such hot weather. Hope everything is okay.

No, I can't say I've ever experienced this with mine. I hope your baby is ok.

Sydney just did this last night. She had done it before, too. She acts as if she's in trouble suddenly when she's not, tucks her tail down, and hides. She will hide in the room I'm in, so if I move, she moves and hides under a bed, behind a chair, or in her backpack. I couldn't even get her to eat a flake of cereal, which is very rare for her. Earlier in the day, we went swimming, and then she came outside with me to do some yard work. It was hot, but she would go to the shade a sit while I worked. This morning, she's back to normal. What's also new is that she's into barking at light fixtures in the ceiling (and they don't have to be on for this to happen), furnace vents, and oscillating fans. Strange little darlings we have. I just tell people she's touched in the head.

| If she was outside, she could have been stung by a bee also. That happened to one of mine before, she was on the grass playing and then I heard a yelp and she came running over to me and the bee was still stuck in her paw!! Hope she is better soon!!

Tiffy's back to normal again:) Hi Everyone, Thank you very much for your words of encouragement and advice. Just like last time she pulled a muscle when playing and that is why she was acting strange all of the sudden. She had me very worried for a while because the one day she just layed around, didn't want anyone around her (very unusual) and seemed sad (She also ate very little). She pulled the same muscle about a year ago. This is my first Yorkie and they seem to be very delicate and almost people like when they injure themselves. All is well again though, she is eating and playing! Thanks again for all your help Tiffy and Judy
