BlueBelle, glad to hear there isn't blood. I wonder, can you call the vet's tech and discuss a little? No telling if giardia is hiding, but I do know when Marcel had it, we had to treat longer than 5 days. So, I'm wondering if your kiddo just needs a longer a stretch?

Digestive issues can be tough, and sometimes it just really takes them more time than we think to get back on track.

Oh...do you have a PetCo near you (not petsmart)? If yes, you may want to pick up some BeneBac - it is a high potency probiotic paste that is meant for times like this, and sometimes it works little miracles. It's cheap, easy to give, and I always keep this stuff in my ER kit. I usually get the "ferret/small animal" size rather than the big dog size.

I've seen that in Kaji's poop. It's a nicely formed log and then there is this weird mucousy part. Now I know what it is! I had dismissed it as something funky he got into.

Sometimes too, a little blob of mucous at the end can also be a digestive by-product...or, something was just slightly irritating during digestion. Hey Ann, is there a reason you get the small animal one vs the dog Benebac? Is there a formula difference? I checked for dog Benebac and they didn't have it, so I bought the small animal one only.

I just got some benebac today. I had to go to two petcos. It was $4.99 at the store, online it's less, but you still gotta pay for shipping. i got the small animal one. One tube is for a 5 lb animal, which is almost the perfect dosing of a yorkie.

PS. Hoping for hard logs for Kaji tomorrow.
