many dogs are lactose intolerant so yogurt can make things worse so prefer probiotics over yogurt for this reason as non-dairy

We were using Proviable.
Her vet and I were comfortable with it b/c Nutramax makes them.
So many supplement companies just don't have good manufacturing standards and there can be much less CFU than what they say.

Also, from a reliable source, they may not be all that people make them out to be and can even cause GI upset in some dogs.

I can't introduce another brand right now b/c we are changing just one thing at a time and enzymes come first...

I agree one thing at a time

I know you rely alot on these studies C but I just want you to think about something as many of these studies there is money involved and sometimes are not what they seem to be.

yeah i think many have too many other things in them and you have to stay basic - acidopholos , biffidus and fos and why I chose the one we use as i do not want enzymes or anything else in the ones I use and it has worked amazingly well for us for years.

She is having a hard time with the enzymes. She spits up after. Even with Reglan and a lowered dose, she still seems to have extra burps or wet burps. Just not right... So we are hoping that wasn't $80 down the drain...

Thankfully she will eat it. She she regurgitates.
If she keeps it up, we'll have to be talking. :(

Her vet said if the enzymes didn't work, we definitely need to talk to her.

....not sure it would help or what it would show...kinda just thinking about you and Ellie and what else to do :(

good point I have heard they are the best for doing the vitamin panels just like they are good at the thyroid panels as well as i always refer jean dodds or u of m for thyroid 6 panel as they are suppose to be the most accurate

Nope, no vitamin panel. Wouldn't hurt, but $$$.
We are going to try and put her enzymes in capsules so they can't irritate her esophagus and see what we get. :) Her stomach does seem more settled now. :)

Got mine. Used it yesterday. I had to roll it in a little cottage cheese and he ate/swallowed it from my fingers. So, one day down :D I don't want to be too forceful with him, since we will probably be doing this for a long, long time :rolleyes:

I just put Ellie's in a little bit of food. She swallows it altogether and doesn't know the difference. lol

I wish it were that simple for me. TJ is a big time sniffer. He sniffs ALL his food before he eats it, so he would find it :rolleyes:

Since she does/did have SIBO, the Tylan is hopefully helping.
The improvement of symptoms is very likely from the enzymes.

Crystal, I'm so sorry to hear that Ellie isn't feeling well. I am thinking positive thoughts and sending prayers for the both of you. You are always so good helping everyone on YT. I hope you know everyone cares so much for you and Ellie.
