| Is there any dried poop stuck to him? Maybe a warm wet wash clothe may help stimulate the pup. I have heard pure canned pumkin helps with constipation, but I don't know if 6 wks. is too young for that. Someone will come along soon and help you out. Poor thing

| Is your puppy straining to go or have you just not seen him/her poop? You need to be really careful with this. It is possible to give an enema but I think you should have the vet show you how to do this and probably have a vet see why he's having trouble. This always makes me nervous because I know of someone who's pup had this issue and even though she had seen the vet, it turned into a major problem and the puppy eventually died. Not to scare you but I'm just concerned.... |

| I'm so sorry to hear he is feeling so poorly. That must be tough on him. Is he doing any better today? Did you try the pumpkin? How long has he been straining? I have sometime had some mild constipation with my pups and I have run warm water over their bottoms and it has helped but something tells me this is a little more serious. I think I would check with the vet if he is not better today. |
