Thanks everyone. The Dr gave me an antibiotic (Metronidazole/flagyl) and Famotidine (like pepcid). the pepcid is a tablet and she won't swallow it. I put it in a bit of food and held her mouth closed until she licked her tongue (trick I did with my cats before) and I thought she ate it, and I just found in her hammock, she spit it out and I didn't see. Any other tips on how to get her to swallow it? Or else I can crush it and put it in some food and scrape the food off the top of her mouth? Should I try to give her another one or just wait till next dose time?

Well they didn't give her a shot there. But I did give her the antibiotic, she has to take it for 7 days. So far she has not tried to diahreah since the parking lot episode earlier. She is just sleeping. We don't know if she has pancreatitis. Actually she has never had her blood work done before, so that's why I decided to get her tested. I'm sad I actually had to use my Care Credit card, but glad I had it!

CARE CREDIT IS AWESOME love it :)

Can you just put famotidine in her mouth and then close mouth hold muzzle up and massage throat to get her to swallow it? It will help control stomach acids

Sorry Uni is not feeling well. Hope she feels better soon. The flagyl usually works pretty quickly on my girls when they have a tummy upset.

Oh no! Poor Uni! I saw 'Uni' in the title and freaked out. Hopefully it's just a tummy virus and she will be back to herself in a few days. I hate seeing them sick, when there's not much you can do, ya know? :( I'm thinking of Uni, keep us updated. :)

Also, how do you go about getting Care Credit? I'd love to have something like that just in case. Is it like pet insurance, or no?

it is great to get in case of emergency as always easier to get money when you do not need money and much harder to get when you need it. I encourage everyone who has a pet to get this. It can extend cost at no interest for up to 18 mos depending on cost of bill but not all vets or specialists accept it but when they do it is great

I am sorry that you and Uni had such a difficult day, Priscilla. Do hope she is feeling better by tomorrow and that the lab tests come back ok. :)

I hope she is feeling better soon. That's so hard to see them sick.:( You could crush the pill and add a tiny bit of water, suction it up into a dropper and put it down her throat.

That's what I tried the first time and I thought she swallowed it, but I guess she faked me out and spit it out later. :(

I just crushed it and put it in some food, but then she didn't eat all the food. Only about a teaspoon and a few tiny pieces of chicken.:(
