Donating YT 30K Club Member | ![]() Thanks. Pixie is moving around a little more this afternoon as much as I try to keep her quiet. She is walking with a bad limp and the knee still feels out of the socket. We go to her vet tomorrow to see where we are at. I am just praying she can get it to stay in. ANd earlier today I was flossing my teeth and part of the tooth next to my front tooth fell out. My dentist was not in so I found a very sweet women dentist to take me in and fix it. Of course since my DH retired in January I lost my dental insurance!!! I was in a panic as I am meeting my birth sons adopted mother tomorrow for the first time. I am pretty nervous. I have reconnected with my son now for 3 years and this is the first that she has wanted to meet us. I hope Pixie will be ok for a few hours while we are gone. I will crate her with Roxie for company. I really hope this is the end of my bad luck for awhile. lol Thanks again for all the concern and I will update when we get home from the vets. My appt. is at 1:00pm.

| ![]() Oh, gosh, I don't know what planet I have been on. I did not see this until now. Patti, I am so sorry you have been through so much and little Pixie, too! I had a pup fall off of the bed some time back. He scared me to death...crying and limping; and I went straight to the EC with him. It was late at night. They diagnosed soft tissue injury (he has LP) and gave him Metacam or Rimadyl (right now I am not sure which one) and sent him home. The next morning I was still worried and went to my vet with him. She said the same thing and said to keep him on the anti-inflammatory for 1-2 weeks. He limped for a few days and then the limping became less and less until finally around two weeks later he stopped limping! So, it is possible for them to get better. I hope that Pixie responds the same way! Will say a prayer tonight that your vet appt goes well tomorrow!

Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | ![]() Hi Dear Patti, I have been keeping you in prayer and little Pixie. I was soooooooooooo thankful to hear when you passed those kidney stones. Glad the dentist was able to fix your tooth, been there done that but still have a chipped tooth ![]() Praying the vet will have better and good news for Pixie and that it will just take a bit of time for complete healing. Something tells me that your meeting tomorrow will be very nice, with you Patti it couldn't help but be a wonderful gathering. Just go with good thoughts and enjoy every minute of it, I will be thinking of you a lot tomorrow and keeping you in my prayers. Glad your painting is all done, that is so nice to get it all over with at one time. By the way what color did you go with? Sending big hug to you from the both of us and prayers for good news tomorrow for Pixie. Patti and Jack and girls. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | ![]() Thanks so much everyone. Pixie is really getting harder to keep still. She seems to move a little better each day. Not sure if she is getting use to it being out all the time or if it is going back in and out. Tooth is fixed Thank God, Kidney stone gone, Painters gone and my DH has been an angel working on getting everything back in place. Another 2 days we should be back to normal. Now I have to get a new bed as my frame broke and the box spring ishttp://www.joesbar.com/pages.php?page=thunder#ticketscracked. So my bed is now on the floor. Feel like I'm back in the 60's!! lol. Everything will be better if I can just get a good report on Pixie today. Ladyjane- Thanks so much for the encouraging story of your little one and good thoughts. As far as the meeting with my birth son's adopted mother, I am just afraid my son is not being truthful and that is Mom doesn't know we will be at the surprise party for his wife. I offered to not go but he said she said she is ready to meet us. My husband is his father and my dtr is his full sister. My DH and I got back together later on after having him when I was 17. Kind of a strange situation. So a very stressful day with Pixie and my son. Thanks again and I will update as soon as I get home from the vets. Attached Pics of me and my son on my sisters boat a couple weeks ago and one of my son, dtr and me on Mother's Day.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | ![]() UPDATE. I just got back from my vets and she feels Pixie needs surgery. I have a consult with the orhtopedic surgeon wednesday morning. She said both Pixie's knees are bad, with the left being worse. I am just so sick. Does anyone know if I can do the worst leg first and wait and see how the other one goes? Please keep Pixie and I in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks

I can only suggest that you see a board certified orthopedic surgeon. Many vets are quick to suggest surgery on LP. While she may indeed need it, I would definitely seek second, perhaps third opinions.
