| This is a JOKE right ! What are you trying to do , help her kill her dog. This pup already has enough problems and you should Never feed ham to your dog. If you really do this with your pups then you have dodged a bullet on several occasions. I can almost bet my next breath you will never find a VET that would tell you to do something so absurd. |

The only thing to add is...if she doesn't take any food willingly (and most do not when they reach this point)...it must be syringed.

I agree. Btw, does she like the Nutrical, will she lick it right off? If yes, this is good and makes it easy to give regularly. If she does not like it, another thing to get at the store is Karo Syrup (corn syrup). The point is to get sugar in her system (and keep sugar in her, at this point). *Also* make sure you give her sugar and a little protein right before you go to sleep to provide sustenance for the night. And, give the sugar source right when you/she wakes up in morning, before she gets going. Giardia is extremely tough on a puppies' system, it can do a terrible number on their small intestine. Unchecked, giardia is actually deadly in young puppies. You are doing a GREAT job and will get her through this !Btw, what kind of food are you feeding and does she like it?
