| 3 years old with arthritis?? Tricksie is 3 years old and fell 3 ft. on a tile floor. Took her to the Vet, said she had arthritis. That was a month ago, she is on Dasuquin, and she is so much better. I love my baby so much.

| No she didn't have it before the fall. I think she broke something but they didn't take an xray.

| If she broke something, that is not Arthritis. You should get an X-Ray and perhaps a new Vet. Id there was a break, you need to get it looked at. |

| I agree that it may not be arthritis. Go for a second opinion. However unusual, arthritis can be caused by trauma to a joint.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | that's weird that he automatically said arthritis right after an injury, especially if she never had a problem with that limb before. arthritis usually builds up over time doesn't it, even if its from an injury?

| Kids can get arthritis (juvenile arthritis), which is typically hereditary so I imagine dogs can too??
