Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Have you tried calling the vet to see what they say ? Let them know what he ate and maybe they can tell you how to counteract it ? We gave our Cocker a little pepto bismal one time but I would be a little scared to do that with a yorkie without checking with the vet first....GOOD LUCK - he must be feeling really bad...I'd make a call and see what they say |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Oh good - I was afraid to say to just give him some but hearing it from the vet makes me feel better about my post.... I can say this from experience...the pepto may cause a little increase in thirst - and a decrease in appetite - when we gave Tessa some once she drank a ton of water - I think because of the taste....GOOD LUCK !!! I hope your little guy feels better |

| When logan got a tummy ache. I think he had heat stroke our vet told us to give him a little pepto and feed him only rice & cottage cheese for 24 hours. It kinda gave him loose stools, but it stopped him from throwing up.

| Pepto Bismol is just like Tums. Just keep a good eye on him tonight. If his gums go white call the vet back and get him there. I don't like that he is shaking though, so this is why i am saying to watch him. He may be shaking due to the pain in his tummy though. Let us know how he does. T. |

| Hey guys, Well he is asleep right now, but yesterday we gave him what his vet suggested, he threw it up the 1st time, we gave it to him right away again and he kept it down. He throw up later around 8:30p.m and that was his throw up for the day. He ate a little bit, drank lots of waterbut he mainly wanted his pupperoni, given that he was sick I gave him 2 so he could have something in his tummy. He later went #2, but it was very diarrea like and guess what mommy found, He had somehow gotten a piece of plastice from a bag somewhere and ate a small piece. Glad it came out!! So today he was playing and eating and he feels better. But we are still going for a check up "just in case" plus we can see if he gained any weight. He weighed in at 1 lb and 14oz @ 12 weeks we are 15weeks today so lets see. Thank you all for your help and concern PUPPY XOXO, |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | AMAZING and man I'm sooooo glad that passed !! That really could have been what made the poor little guy sick....I hope he's feeling better today but if he shows any more signs of being sick - I would think you may want to take him in to make sure it's ALL out of his system so it doesn't cause any blockage.....If he's playing and acting normal today - then chances are it DID all pass and that's really good.... |
