| Bloody Diarrhea! :( So scary!!!! Hi Everyone, Sushi's Maltese brother, Mr. Big, started having lose stool Tuesday morning. It wasn't really diarrhea, but kinda less consistancy than usual. Didn't think much of it, thought it'll pass. Later that day Sushi and Big were off to the vet for their annual shots/hw test/etc. When we came home, Sushi was totally fine but Biggie was kinda mellow, and I even thoguht he might feel slightly warm to the touch. but then I thought he's tiny (2.7lb) and maybe he's just reacting to his shot (Bordetella) like some babies do. Woke up early morning, only to find him in the bathroom, he had covered the pee pad and pretty much all the bathroom floor with diarrhea. Just watery diarrhea. While I was cleaning uo, he went two more times, literally every two minutes, and he woul moan every time he went. I gave him a few drops of pepto, and went to work, thinking that I will take him to the vet right after work. When I got home for lunch, the whole bathroom floor was covered in blood. We're talking light bright pure blood! In large volumes!!!! Looked like they killed an animal in the bathroom!!!! Poor thing had made it to the bathroom (where the pee pad is) pretty much every time, but he had also lost control in the bedroom too, there was a buit of blood on the bedroom floor too!!! Now he was also puking foamy bile. I literally freaked out, and couldn't wait for the after work, just grabbed him, jumped in a cab and rushed him to my vet. They gave him a shot of tylocine, and kept him for the day, At the end of the day they sent him home with Tylocine capsules and gastro food, and of course sub-q fluids. They said he hadn't puked , and the diarrhea had stopped around 4pm. Last night we had one more bloody episode, but this time the blood was thicker and darker. And this morning, nothing. looked like he did do his poo poo dance a couple times, considering it. But nothing actually came out. They did a fecal and they expect to have the results back today or tomorrow, but I am sooooo worried about my little Biggie, especially because he's so itty bitty. He was not allowed to eat until this morning, but I gave hime a bit of nutri-cal every few hours. He was also drinking like crazy, which is great. Even though he seems to be doing better, i'm still worried about the results. What the heck was that anyways? where did alllllll that blood come from???? It was a LOT of blood! And every 2 minutes he would squat and then lgiht bright blood would just shoot out of his behind!!! Soooo scary!!!!! Any thoughts? I'm worried sick.

Is asprin bad for dogs? Not that I give them aspirin or anything, but just wondering!

| Little Biggie has been doing much better. He did not poop at all all day yesterday, and this morning he had some very loose stool, but at least there ws no blood, just loose poo. His appetite is great, although I'm supposed to feed him small portions throughout the day. This morning on his walk, his tail was wagging for poeple on the street again, and he was not nagging at me to pick him up after the third step. So relieved!
