Roriee Update
 

I just spoke with one of the techs at CVS and she said that Roriee is actually doing a little bit better this afternoon.

They put the body cast on her and they also have her on Hydromorphone. She does cry a bit when they take her outside, but she is much more comfortable!! :)

Keep those prayers going!! :)

thats really good news. Poor little girl has suffered for such a long time...it is so good to know that she is now getting some relief from her pain.

I am a friend of Randi's and right before she gave Roriee up she told me about this site and her interaction with people here. She told me about how people had taken her story and twisted it around to make her seem like this horrible person. She asked me to look at it and tell her what I thought, so I did. I have been on here watching from the background and I am amazed at the awful things some people say when they don't even know the whole truthful story. I, like Randi, have a 1 1/2 year old yorkie and we both live for these dogs. So to read about animal abuse and wanting charges filed against her, floors me. I have known Randi for at least 35 years. We were out of touch for many years but we reconnected about a year and a half ago through facebook. Randi loves Roriee with all her heart and it has devastated her watching Roriee go through this. Then top it off with her own illness and having people tell you how horrible you are, then having to give her up and never see her again. I pray none of you ever have to go through this. Please let me tell you the story so you understand that Randi didn't deserve any of this and Roriee was always first in her life. I know some of you think that Roriee got sick months ago and has remained like those horrible pics you saw, lying there screaming in pain for months. That is not the case. I saw the pics and they horrified me like all of you and she was in pain for a short time. Randi took her to the vet and got her on meds and cared for that little baby until she was like normal. Randi knew it was a matter of time and I believe she felt she had bought some time to figure things out, but also deep down hoped that maybe Roriee would be a little miracle baby. I have a picture of Roriee right before the relapse that shows how well she was doing. i am going to post this now before I loose all this and have to start over, which is what I have done a couple of times while typing this.

So you can see from the pic that Roriee was doing very well and you can understand how Randi could possible think that maybe she was a little miracle baby. On the day she relapsed Randi and her roommate were trying to give Roriee a trim and she squirmed around and hit her head on the roommates arm and she relapsed. So I don't know what is going to happen now with Randi's job. She was still on part time waiting for the probation period to end so she could go into full time. I hope with all this time she must be off, she doesn't loose her job. Can you imagine how you would feel if your dog or child got sick like this and you didn't have the money to get her help? To know you can't have her back after she is well. It breaks my heart and brings tears to my eyes as I write this. Sure it's easy to say give her up so she gets the help she needs. Who wouldn't do that for someone they love. I treat dogs like people so it would be like asking me to give my daughter up and never see or hold her again. How can some of you be so mean and hateful? Where is the animal cruelty here? What are the charges you want filed? Randi never did anything but love that dog. How many of you are perfect parents and have never made a single mistake with your children? Not one of you, I say.

If you are a friend of Randi then all that is possible that could be done is being done.

If you read the thread all the way through, you know that many ppl wanted this thread to stay on track of support for Roriee in her medical crisis.

Nobody nowhere here is looking at any kind of charges against Randi. Sometimes things are said in the heat of the moment that are later regretted.

I and many other people here want only the very BEST for Roriee and Randi

Please give Randi a hug for me, and convey to her the outpouring of love from all the YT members who are really pulling for her and for Roriee. See the additional prayer thread too. I know Randi and Roriee are missing each other right now, and both are fighting their medical battles. They are both in the hands of medical professionals, and in the hands of God and we all wish them well.

Very glad to hear that Roiree is going better--at least that she is more comfortable--and that Randi's surgery went OK. Thanks for the updates on their progress.
