i think it was empty stomach as vet said she was a little over weight so we have been cutting back food and this morning i fed her later than normal so probably the cause I feel bad as it was bile and bile is usually empty stomach and she was sleeping in late with me this morning and just fine took her down stairs made her food and turned around and saw her reverse sneezing then the vomit on the dog bed poor baby but she was running and barking at the birds when i left loll

Yeah, they recover much quicker than mama does!

lol that is for sure she is like ok can i eat now and my heart is pounding lollll we think we have learned alot then something new comes up like a BLUE TONGUE lolllll I am thinking ok do i run her to vet, do i blow in her mouth wth lollll

Peek a Boo's tongue got blue last spring ...he had the beginnings of a cold and I took him to the vet... put on AB's and the next day he was in his bed when I walked past, but I stopped and went back to check his gums and his whole mouth was blue/purple. I picked him up and he was just limp in my arms. I ran to the phone in the kitchen and sat down and gently shook him... he started to wake up/ come around, I kept petting /rubbing him to stimulate his circulation and in a few minutes he pinked up. He couldn't breathe well bc of the amount of mucous in his nose, no way could he eat, and with shallow breathing like that he just got weaker and weaker, his temp shot up to 104.5 F, till I woke him up again, then he'd pink up. Off to the vet's for a change of ABs, nebulizer Tx with Gentamycin, and some oxygen, they told me dogs with pneumonia usually die, and sent us home within an hour! Talk about being out of my mind! I sat with him on my lap for 2 days till the new AB started working, then he got up, wanted to eat and really made miraculous improvement.
I'm still Thanking God for that one!

Sometimes if I'm late for feed, I give them some treats while I start their food, just to tide them over...

PS Glad she's doing better...

A little, I knew he was coming down with something, so it was kind of gradual, so I could prepare for it. I'm just glad I went back to check on him, bc I had no clue he had gotten that sick that quickly... I'm almost embarrassed at the way I reacted, being a VetTech for 25 years. You don't realize just how much you love them till you almost lose them. And I knew I loved him alot! I think when they sent him home, that crushed me, bc I knew the Vet and everybody there didn't expect him to survive.

But in your case, one minute all is fine, next minute not fine at all!

Both scary situations, and hard to deal with.

yeah that is so cool you were a vet tech for 25 years so glad you are on here to help us all i love when people are in the profession and give back to help others that is so nice

yeah dh just emailed me she is all fine - she is so healthy so when something goes wrong with her i get more worried as it is so rare
