Yeah...I bet it was just one of those weird, inexplicable things. Remember when you and I talked about Zoey's raised liver enzymes in the Liver Shunt thread? Well, the vet never did figure out what made her sick.

When she was fully recovered, I did as you suggested and did a BAT along with another ALT. Everything was great! It still bugs me that I don't know what caused it, though. It was the strangest thing. I wish I knew what to look out for, yanno?

Yes. I am paranoid. Still waiting to hear from Petplan about my giant bill, too. Even more paranoia, lol.

I've got my fingers crossed for your Demi. All will be well, I'm betting.

thanks so much yeah she seems fine. Called vet to note her file just in case and to make sure she is in town as ims is out until friday after today - they are booked a week in advance but will cost me $80 for emergency lolll oh well I really think she is ok and maybe gulped too much water but she has never done this before so I am on it just in case it happens again.

I am so glad your baby is ok. Yeah elevated liver enzymes can happen from being sick, medicine, toxic plant, etc not always liver disease but best to make sure with this breed since it runs so much in the yorkies

doing great no more vomitting so thinking stomach upset or bad chicken as we added chicken to her kibble so maybe chicken was bad - we stopped putting it in the kibble now as before she would not eat kibble without chicken she is picky but so far so good without the chicken she must be hungry lollll

Just thought I'd let you know, Petplan paid Zoey's entire bill, minus the $50 deductible. Over $700!

What a relief. Needless to say, I highly recommend them. Unlike my human insurance (Aetna), they didn't nitpick a thing. I consider this a miracle.
