| ohhhhhhhhh Maddie maddie likes to play keep away and its my fault, her and i play little games with dh's hat and she loves it when he chases her to get it. well today at work-the girl i work with dropped a computer chip on the floor--and yeap maddie grabbed it and took off (yes maddie goes to work with me everyday)----well before we could catch her she swallowed it--about a 1-1/4 inch by 1 inch chip--swallowed whole. my worry is it will not pass--i called my vet and she gave me some r/d food and said it should help it pass an get things moving- but that im on poop watch for the next 1-2 days and if she starts getting sick or acting strange to get her in asap!! as of right now she said it is better she tries and passes it instead of trying to get her to bring it back up. im worried to death and the girl i work with feels terrible--i told her its not her fault--maddie is alittle over a year and still in alot aways a pup--and she thinks its a great game to play---im so worried my baby will not pass it. my vet is wonderful and i have her cell # and home #--i trust her completely---but im still so worried it will cause a blockage---and its a game i have taught her

| Will send up a little prayer for Maddie and for you. Don't beat yourself up over this. We all play games like that. It was just a freak thing happening like it did. I hope she send it out the other end for you by tomorrow.

| That's very sad to hear that...I understand your feeling, really.. When Sugar was 3 months old, she swallowed a ribbon which is about the size of her mouth, I was worried to death, but she managed to pass it, and poo that evening.. I'll keep Maddie in my prayer Please keep us updated

| It's nothing you did that caused this. She's just being a puppy. We'll say a special prayer for Maddie tonight that she'll be ok soon.

| I know what you mean with keep away. Pixie loves to run when she gets something she shouldn't and one time she had a penny in her mouth and I though real fast.........I keep a lil dish of cheerios handy and when she gets something she shouldn't I quickly grab a cheerio. I also will say drop it hoping she will learn that word. It probably isn't teaching her well....... here is a cheerio for running from me, lol but I figure it is saving her life!! I am glad Maddie passed it but in the future maybe you could try the cheerio thing, It has saved Pixie's life a few times. Give Maddie a lil kiss from us
