Please pray for my Bailey :( Today I ran to the grocery store, before I left Bailey was normal, running around like crazy, just being his rambunctious self, I was gone for about 20 mins to an half hour, Bailey was left at home with my BF's 2 dogs like he normally is if we are at my bf's house. When I returned I noticed Bailey had a few tuffs of fur hanging off him, I thought it was really strange, so I removed the tuffs, checked him over, he seemed fine, so I went on to make dinner. While I was preparing dinner I looked over at Bailey and he was wobbling, it looked like he was trying not to fall over. I dropped everything and screamed for my BF. I picked up Bailey and checked him over, he seemed in no pain, no yelping, etc. He was very lethargic all of a sudden and almost dazed like. I was crying my eyes out with him on the bed, talking to him, but he seemed almost lifeless. My bf said to put him back down on the floor, and he begin to look very wobbly, unsteady, like he was going to lose his balance again. I immediately got on the phone to the vet, and told them I needed to bring him over. The vet could see no physical trauma, his heart rate was fine, his blood pressure was a little low. So, he suggested we do blood work. Everything came back normal. So $500 later I have Bailey home and he is still the same, he went to pee and couldn't steady himself to do so. I am a total wreck, I can't stop crying, I feel helpless because we only have one vet and they suck. The vet seemed dumbfounded! I am sick to death, Please pray for my Bailey, I don't know what I will do if I lose him. |
Bailey will be in my prayers...xoxoxoxo 2 u and Bailey. I'm feel so very bad. I'm crying too.I feel your pain. |
Oh no, I am so very sorry about Bailey. Poor little guy and I can only imagine how scared you must be. Do you think he could have possibly hit his head? It is so hard to tell with these little ones. He will be in my prayers. |
I am so sorry i wish i could do something to help but i don't have a clue if he got into something like meds or poison i think it would have showed up in his bloodwork |
I am holding you and precious Bailey in my thoughts and prayers. Huggs |
I am so very sorry to hear about Bailey. Is it possible that he bit into an electrical cord? |
I'm so sorry! I'll be praying for Bailey and you!!! Please keep us posted. ((((Hugs)))) |
Oh my gosh, Darlene :(. Could he have gotten stuck in something for awhile and may have been struggling/flailing (hence the fur)? This could have triggered fight/flight and blood pressure changes. Did you try giving Nutrical or Karo? I would try this, just in case. And the vet obv didn't think head trauma? No nausea or anything? |
Maybe, My bf is renovating and I don't know if the door was closed to the room that has all the reno stuff, I asked my bf, but he said he wasn't sure, and I'm not sure and I can't even think straight, I should have been way more careful. Maybe he got caught in a wall or wires or between a pipe, I don't even know what is being done in some of those rooms, but there is stuff around that is not safe. I am so stupid not to have double checked, we usually have it gated off and all the doors closed. My bf just dropped in and Bailey got up to greet him, I'm still bawling, I'm going to try giving him some Karo. |
Omg, Bailey is just threw up twice, I don't know what to do! |
Oh gosh....if he is not getting better...you may want to take him in again... What was the throw up like? bile? food? did you give him the karo? |
Bailey So sorry, I can imagine how terrible and hopeless you feel about poor little Bailey. I know you only have one Vet, but perhaps you should try one more time to see him and get some better answers. Perhaps now he has another, vomiting, symptom it may help to Vet to diagnose him. Praying for you and Bailey and hoping he will recover soon. Hugs |
(((Darlene- Hugs and prayers for you and Bailey))) |
