Thank you for your prayer everyone, Bailey needs them right now and so do I, I can't get hold of myself, all these terrible thoughts are going through my head and I'm terrified. Please everyone who suggest this, I would go to a dozen other vets if I could, but I live in a very remote area there is no other vet, I'm sure people living in big urban areas can't fathom that. Since I've had Bailey 4 different vets have come and gone from the little clinic here, it's awful.
Bailey has been laying down since he threw up. He is not doing anything, just laying there and mainly sleeping. He has no spunk whatsoever, I've been laying with him and stoking his fur and talking to him and praying that this passes. It really seems neurological to me, because of the unsteadiness walking etc, but I've been pouring over websites and it suggest these problems are found more in older dogs. I just wish I could turn back time and not left him alone today. or at less not have been so careless.

Do not blame yourself! This sounds like something that could have/would have happened regardless if he was left home alone or not! I know it's terrible seeing them in such a condition -- I remember a time when Jackson was throwing up ALL day, he was sooo not himself, laying around all day, not eating/drinking. I was sooo worried and was gonna bring him to an appt. in the AM and he woke up feeling almost 100% better. There's been a few other times where he has given me *such* a scare and it always passes! Try to stay calm & positive for Bailey's sake -- everything will be fine! Me and Jackson are thinking of you & Bailey right now. :)

ok just read about the tuffs was not sure what you meant on that so possible head trauma based on way he is acting. I know this is hard but try to remain as calm as you can and a lady on my yorkie group had a yorkie that fell off a bed on head and was fine the next day and another one that her bf made a taco of dog bed and she fell out on her head and is fine as well so if it was a head trauma then let him rest since you do not have a vet near by - if he got into something toxic it would have shown up on his blood work as his liver enzymes would have been real high. How old is he?

I mentioned liver shunt to the vet a couple of times, because after reading so much on YT that is one of the first things that came to my mind, I thought he tested that, I am such a basket care, I can't even think straight. I am going to call them again, of course nobody will be in until tomorrow. I hope to God that it is not liver shunt, the vet didn't say much anything about that at all, even with me mentioning it.

Sorry this is the protein amount in his food. Crude protein not less then 28.00% Wellness small breed

Darlene, please don't beat yourself up - injuries/accidents/illnesses of all kinds can and do happen whether we're home or not.

Would your vet take a phone call after hours, just to consult about the symptoms and possibility of head injury?

Did he vomit in just the 1 time period?

When you wake him now, does he seem more oriented/with it (don't overstimulate him...I just mean, when/if he has woken up)?

Thanks you for the reassurance Brit, I hope you are right.

No his liver was showing all normal, everything was. I think he may have hit his head, something definitely happened while I was gone. Bailey will be 11 months next week.
