| LOTS of vomiting today and runs bad I'm baffled? Gemma is my 3 pounder, never had any problems with her she is over 3 years old now. Today I woke up to her vomiting more than I've ever seen! Bile, then more foamy and flemmy. Diahrea all day, some like water. I had to leave for a few hours but I felt ok because the vomiting stopped after an hour this morning and she was eating and acting normal. When we came in tonight, a lot of vomiting and diahrrea everywhere! Now I'm worried. I noticed a little blood in the stool as well. But still pink gums, and eating. Of course her doctor wasn't in today, out till Tuesday. She may have to go tomorrow though. All the other girls are fine....don't know what to do? Oh and they all eat boiled chicken for the most part because of Truffles' pancreatitis....

| If she were mine, she would be going to the Emergency Clinic without passing Go and collecting $200!! As for her gums, if you want to check for dehydration, the color is not what you check. You need to touch her gums to see if they are WET. If they are sticky to the touch, chances are she is dehydrating and needs to go to a vet.

She is likely dehydrated and in some danger even if she looks okay.

| Just an update...I soon realized it was NOT just Gemma, but ALL 3 of my yorkies had the same symptoms! Very strange....all acting fine and happy though. I keep them confined to one part of the house, so there is nothing I can see or think of that they could have gotten into. Anyway, they were all on 2 meds, one for tummy upset/vomiting and one for the diarrhea. They seem to all be better and fine now....very odd to me but thank God nothing serious! Thanks for your replies...

| You are right Daisy last winter had the same thing and it lasted 2 weeks. I was going out of my mind running back and forth to the vet. I had her on organic chicken broth and white rice. I would dilute the organic no sodium chicken broth with water so that Icould get fluids in her and I gave it to her every 3 hrs round the clock bc I didn't want her to end up in the hospital.

| That is good news that your furbabies are all ok. Did the vet know what the cause was? |
