| runny eyes I have noticed that since Pixie has turned 6 months her eyes are running more. Is this normal for yorkies? I clean her face eyery day and wash the tear stains off. It is clear and doesn't have any odor. It is just like tears. Pixie is my first yorkie so I don't know how normal this is.

| could be allergies as allergies start about 6 mos of age if it is a large tear drop like tear then that can be a clogged tear duct but if just runny eyes and sometimes the nose runs too with allergies just clear like tear on nose -- noticed dd had teary eyes today and nose when i took her to hospital |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | It could also be due to teething, here's a great link, but it sounds like the tears are in the normal range. Tear Staining: The Causes & Cures

| Thanks for the help! I uunplugged all my plug ins. We will see if it is allergies or teething. the tears are more like a run of clear fluid and it isn't a lot but I find myself wiping them 2 or 3 times a day. Today is not bad for some reason.
