| Gatsby ate my Tums okay so last night while i was sleeping Gatsby got into my makeup bag and ate my vile of Tums i keep in there for when im traveling he only got 5 or 6 (i know because there was 4 left and i only keep 10 in it and i might have refilled it after i come home last weekend ) my question was will it hurt him i keep the Tums because i have a ulcer and i know the ulcer medicine is poisonous to animals so i keep them in my car but i have never had him eat my tums before he seems fine if i hadn't smellled them on his breath i would never have known but will it upset his digestion thanks in advance and yes i will be more careful in the future everything should be locked up in the bathroom i know that i just diddent think about it

| I really doubt it, Tums are NOT strong. That is something that you should keep on the "high up" shelf though :P

| i know but in a year this is the first time he has shown an interest in them. well i guess haveing to replace them and the makeup he smashed pulling the bag off the desk will teach me my lesson

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I would think he will be ok. Just watch him closely for signs of tummy upset. You coul call your vet and get their opinion too, just to make sure.

| we called poison control when my little sister was almost two she ate an entire bottle brand new of tums. they said that it wouldn't hurt her or anyone for that matter it just would probably give her the runs. So the best thing I could guess would be to keep your baby hydrated. good luck! |

| i do not think so as tums are what ucdavis nutritionists use for calcium in their diets so i doubt it will be a prob but ask the vet as not sure for his size but he definitely got a calcium boost and may be a little constipated lol |
