| Bruised Yorkie Leg Advice Needed!! Hi! My 10 week old Yorkie was up on a bed about 15 inches off the floor and jumped down and was yelping and holding her paw up and would not put weight on it at all. I took her to vet and he did x-rays and said no breaks/ fractures, but bruised. He put a little splint on her, which came off already. I will have to take her back to get it put back on tomorrow. Does anyone had any experience with this injury who may be able to offer some tips/advice. We are unable to give her any pain meds due to the fact she is still under 2 pounds and her age. Thanks for reading and any advive you may have to offer!!

| it still could be ruptured acl but either way rest and keep in confined area and sometime pain is your best ally as it makes them rest - no jumping, running, etc and when taking out to bathroom keep on leash so your baby is not running around in back yard - it will take time to heal - sometimes as much as 2 mos if acl injury which they cannot see on an xray as it is a ligament |
