| Yorkie puppy limping! i was playing with my 12 week old yorkie puppy juicy and i threw the ball for her to go get it and she ran right into the wall really hard. she started screaming and crying for like 30 seconds and now she seems fine but she is holding up her back leg when she walks. i felt her leg and moved it around a little bit to see if it hurt but she didnt even do anything. shes playing and doing everything normal but she just isnt using that leg. how can i tell if its broke or just hurt? |

| Is there a vet you can call? She might of bruised it but I am not sure. Is she walking on it and limping or not putting any weight on it at all?

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I would keep her quiet for the rest of the night and if she is still limping take her to the vet tomorrow. If she gets worse then I would taker her in tonight. Hope she is ok soon.

| I am glad she is ok. It is so scary when they are that small. I have found that yorkies are a pretty harty lil dog! many times I have though omg Pixie hurt herself running into the wall jumping off the couch. She is so fearless she makes me fear for her. she always is fine but I am the one almost having a heart attack. give her a big kiss!

if it was a ruptured acl my girl we think did this and it takes 2 mos for scar tissue to build up and act like an acl - my girl is fine now no issues but it took a while. A sprain it will take only a few days - she could have luxated the patella as well - just confine and rest do not let her jump on and off things and do not let her run around and do not walk her | |
