then it is not broke as she would not let you touch and she would not put any pressure on it. Rest it for a few days but by 3rd day if not walking on it then i would go to vet. The vet will give nsaids like metacam but sometimes pain is your best ally as it will make them rest if you cover it up they will walk on it and it will take longer to heal.
if it was a ruptured acl my girl we think did this and it takes 2 mos for scar tissue to build up and act like an acl - my girl is fine now no issues but it took a while. A sprain it will take only a few days - she could have luxated the patella as well - just confine and rest do not let her jump on and off things and do not let her run around and do not walk her
