| Rosco is sick and I need advice Wednesday my daughter text me at work saying Rosco threw up several times. When I got home he wasn't his peppy self so I took him to the vet. My daughter descibed his vomit to the vet and she felt around his belly and she suspected acid reflux. She gave him a shot to stop the vomit, a shot of pepcid and a shot of steroids and gave me a can of bland food. She said if he vomits any more bring him back Fri.(they are closed on Thurs.) for an exray and bloodwork. He still just wants to sleep and he threw up once just a little Sat. He had a bowel movement today and it looked good. I have noticed him shaking and his ears are cold. I have 2 other yorkies and they weren't cold. His is cold because he don't feel good? I just don't think he is getting better. I plan on taking him back Mon. just want your opinion if it is something else going on with Rosco. Oh and I can't give him boiled chicken and turkey causes mucusy poops. I think he looks skinny, but vet said he's not 7.2 lbs. I am just worried about him

| oh boy, I am so sorry to hear this. Do you think that he could of gotten into something? How old is Rosco? I hope he is better soon. I know my Daisy caught a virus from being at pet smart with all the other dogs last winter and she was throwing up and diherrea for almost a week. I was back and forth to the vet and she was slightly dehydrated and they almost hospitalized her. You have other dogs though and they are not sick, so that is why I wonder if he got into something...hmm I hope your Rosco is feeling better.

| If you have Nutrical, I'd give him some every couple of hours. And if you have a kennel heating pad to help him stay warm. Take his temperature if it's over 102.5 consider going to an Emergency Vet for treatment. Check the color of his gums, they should be pink. Really pale, whitish or bluish I'd get him to a vet asap. Did you feed him just chicken? Chicken and rice might be better... half chicken with half rice. Ask for some probiotics and you may want him to have a Bile Acid Test if you can see his ribs and spine.

| i am surprised they did not do xray and blood work as that is the first thing they did with mine when he was vomitting like that just to be sure and it turned out to be panreatitis. Did he get any high fatty treat before ? |

| He had Cheerios. Is that okay to give him? He seems to be a little bit better this morning. His bowel movement looked good. Has vomit any more. The only thing he will eat is SD canned chicken for puppies. That doesn't affect him like real chicken does. I am stilll giving him the prescription of pepid. My other two babies are just fine. Is this related with the IBD?

| I know its not the best, but that is the only stuff he will eat sprinkled with parm. cheese. His bowel movements are fine on it. My others eat canned Blue, Rosco won't eat it because its too mushy and avoids the veg. in it. Their dry food is a mixture of NB premuim and Wellness super mix. He eats it on ocassion and also NB roll ups. Any suggestions on food???

| There are so many other better quality dog foods out there. Have you tried the wellness puppy wet?

| Yes I have tried it. He is not crazy about it. I have to sprinkle cheese on everything. Is that hurting him with the cheese?
