My husband is going to get some right now. I called the vet as soon as I saw them. They said to try to get him in. This could not have happened on a worse week. we dont have $150 to take him! we r gunna try the benadryl and see if it helps. if so then we will watch him over night and take him to our regular vet in the morning. |

At his weight administer 3 CC of Benadryl. Watch his breathing, check to see if his tongue is not swollen........If his breathing becomes labored....no getting around it, you'll have to get him in. |
thank you so much! i will deffinatly do that! thank you everyone |

Sounds like an allergic reaction, and quite a serious one too. :( If the vet said to get him in, then that is what I would do. Unfortunately, emergency situations like this don't care if you have money or not. Maybe the vet would understand and let you pay in installments? |
Bless your heart. I hope the benedryl helps Bentley. |

I found alot of information on dog allergies on this site: Skin Allergy in Dogs Just one flea can cause alot of misery and itchy welts in an allergic dog....the site also discusses other symptoms and their causes. I hope you baby gets some relief quickly. |

Or even hold a check for a few days? |
I really think you should use Childrens LIQUID Benedryl the dye free one (its clear). |

The dosage is 1 mg per pound, so he can have 8 mg. If the tablet is 25 mg, then I would say 1/4 is safe. I am sure if you call the EC back they will tell you how much to give. |

Anything new? Is he ok? |
We have used the adult tabs on my mom's cocker... it was all we had on hand and it saved his life. I really hope he is ok |
Oh, I hope he is. I keep looking to see if she has posted. |
Just checking back to see how Bentley is doing. |
Just checking for an update. I hope little Bentley is ok. :( |
I know...very frustrating when people don\'t come back with updates. Hopefully everything is ok and we will get an update this morning. |
