| 3 weeks old and eyes won't open Hi, We had a litter of 4 pups 3 weeks ago. About a week ago all of their eyes started opening, the smallest was last. The smallest ones never opened up all the way and now they are closed again. The rest of the litter is fine. There is a very small amout of discharge around the eye lid and we have tried to clean it using just a soft cloth and warm water but his eyes still stay shut. I am going to take him to the vet soon but was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what it may be. Thank You. |

| I had that happen with a kitten and I ended up having to get an eye antibiotic to put in the eye. The eyes definitely should have opened by now and I read it is dangerous for their eyesight for them to stay closed too long

| Heating Pad Yes they are on a heating pad. The small one is very small, we have been bottle feeding him because he is so much smaller than the rest. I am going to continue to moisten at each feeding. Thanks. |
