I am so sorry for your Loss... this is always so heartbreaking to hear.. I lost a 5 year old to a vet giving him a shot he had had a reaction to the year before.. that time it was fatal.. I learned a valuable lesson that day.. I know now that even going to the same vet we must remind them to check their file for any previous problems... I should have said Not to allow this shot.. I blamed myself and still do even after 6 years.. |
I'm so sorry about the passing of Little Lexie Leesha, This isn't your fault. You had no idea that something would happen during her surgery. Things happen in surgery all the time and I know this is really heartbreaking at this moment. If it wasn't for a specialist I was seeing with Breese, I would have had her spayed also. He had done reconstruction on both hind legs due to birth defects and it was touch and go during the surgery. After she recovered, he recommended they she not be spayed because of her size and weight... 3.7 pounds. If someday, she reaches 5 lbs.. then maybe. He told me that most vets would go ahead and spayed but I was told by him, not to have it done because of what she experienced. They is never a right answer when you make a decision. All surgeries are dangerous, no matter what the problem. I'm so very sorry about your loss, it just seems the smaller these little one's are the more complicated the health problems. I'll keep you and little Lexie in my prayers God Bless you during this difficult time. My heart goes out to you during this time of such heartbreak and grief. |
I'm very sorry for your loss.:( |

I am very sorry for your loss. |
I'm very sorry for your loss. Any time any animal...human or fur covered is put under anesthesia there is a risk and I'm certain you signed a waiver acknowledging that fact. It happens even when we are trying to do the very best for our beloved pets. Again my deepest condolences. |
I am so sorry about Lexie. :( I was planning to get my Lexi spayed in the near future and now this has me scared to death. She is 7 1/2 months and the last time she was weighed, 3.2 pounds. I don't know what to do now! I am so so sorry. |

I am so very sorry to read about your loss. :( |
I am so sorry for your loss. Lexie was such a pretty girl, now she is a pretty angel. I know you must be so upset with the vet, you trusted him to take care of her but sometimes things don\'t always go as planned. I\'m sure he must feel awful though. Please don\'t blame yourself either. Lots of hugs & prayers are being sent your way. I\'m nervous about having Fancy spayed - she is on the small side too. She is 16 months old & weighs a little over 3 lbs. I have been putting it off because I hear horror stories like this and I\'m afraid of something like this happening. When you get a chance please post your link on the alternatives to spaying. Again lots of hugs & prayers. |
