| What do you think? My Husband just called and said Layla has TU 3x today and seems sick. She does not want to play or eat. she had shots last Saturday. The Vet wanted to give her 7 way and I said no 5 way so she got 5 way, Vet seemed pissed .. Whatever Do you think it could be about shots? She was fine last night. Playing and such. the only diff is I gave them both Booda bones. Nikko ate his and Layla's and then the replacement that I gave to Layla, so 3 for him! She is chewing hers but very small amount. She is super fussy eater so I have been fixing her Chicken stew (Chicken, brown rice, carrots) I know daddy gave her ham yesterday. tiny bits that I have asked him not to but.... What do you guys think? I am not home yet but will be in 1/2 hour. Thank you |

| I would think it's possible that it's the ham. I don't believe they should be getting ham because it may be to fatty. Actually I heard no pork at all from a breeder. |

| It's probably from the ham. WAY too much salt and fat for their systems to process. I'd be heading to the vet.

| Layla is much better today. I was watching her close for signs of distress, ears down, slow response, not wanting to eat/drink. She was peeing normal and had a little soft poo. We withheld food for about 3 hours, then I gave her a small amount of canned puppy and she ate and kept it down. I took her out at 3am and she did her business again the poo was soft but not runny. She wanted to eat so I fed her another small amount. This am she ate some of her food then came to see me at the computer where they get a cookie every morning. She ate that and is now asking for more but I think she will have to wait a bit. I had a talk with daddy about no ham. I think she may have been starting some pancreatitis like symptoms. So I will be home next two days and watch her for any signs. She is barking at bird outside so she must be feeling better! To be honest, I was pretty scared. Thank you all for being here to listen. It really helps. |

| That's good that she's better It's so scary when they get sick, since they are small they can go downhill rather quickly My husband used to try to sneak my girls table food, but once I told him that it will not only hurt the babies, but probably cost him thousands of $$$ at the vet, he quit that real quick Next time you need to feed a bland diet, you may want to consider using white rice, as it's easier for them to digest. The brown rice has a lot of fiber (which is why it's so good for us!) and it's just harder on their upset tummies.
