| Sick Yorkie Hi I took hailey to the vet today and they did blood test said everything looked fine and she didn't have a temperature. They said to keep giving her the de-worming medicine. I'm having trouble giving it to her because she won't allow me to open her mouth. Any ideas? I also still can't get her to eat? Please give advice this is my first puppy and I'm so worried all she's doing is sleeping still. |

| Put the puppy between your legs with her back to you. Once you have her like this, with her back legs between your legs, it should be pretty easy to give her the medicine. As for the not eating, I don't have any advice for you.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Sorry to hear your little one is sick. It is important to get her to eat. Have you tried wet food warmed up a little. If you still can't get her to take her pills, maybe you can ask the vet if you could get it in a liquid form. I find that easier to get in their mouths. I hope Hailey feels better soon.

| Have you tried just putting the medicine on a dish and letting her lick it up? All my dogs have always loved that stuff. But then again, all my dogs like anything I put in front of them to eat. You might try it. |

| Thank you so much I'm going to try the chicken in the morning when I can get to the store. I'm just worried bc it's been a little over 24 hrs since she ate. I put a little sugar in her water and I put some syrup on her gums to help maintain her blood sugar. I don't want the vet to have to hook her up to an iv to feed her I'm just praying for improvement. Today only marks a week I've had her. |

| I followed the advice of the chicken breast and she ate it right up. She had tons of energy but then gets very tired again. Is that normal? Also she didn't go poop today is that bc she hasn't eaten in a couple days?? She still seems a lot better from the past two days. Thanks for all the advice. |
