| Today was one of the best days we've had with Sasha! She actually cuddled with me for about an hour, and even didn't mind sharing attention with Xavier! She was just in such a sweet mood. She went to bed with my hubby, and as she drifted off to sleep, the whining and crying began again. I guess she was feeling pretty good earlier today though. I can't stand to hear her cry...it really hurts my heart. I think, I may call the vet in the morning....

I think if most of us were in this situation we would always question ourselves with the " What ifs" Its just how our minds and hearts work. You are with her for the past 2 years. You have loved her like no other mommy, she has learned to open her heart and love. That is amazing in itself. You will know what to do when the time comes. I send you some of the ((hugs)) that I have received since my 5 yr Yorkie has been missing in the past 2 weeks. Post away. People here understand. Gen | |

| My heart is breaking for you right now. This brings back so many memories for me and pups long passed. I just have to thank you for caring for and loving this little girl during the time she's been with you. As yorkie moms, this is one of the most difficult times we ever have to face. Whatever your decision, you will be making it with concern and love for her, and it will be the right choice. Bless you!

| I know the pain you're feeling in your heart. It's so hard to let go. I had to make the same difficult decision with my 13 year old Chipper. He had bladder cancer. After having surgery for what I thought was just bladder stones a thickening of the bladder wall turned out to be cancer. The vet told me that there was nothing that surgerically could be done and it was a matter of time and I was going to have to decide what was best for Chipper. I asked the vet what kind of time frame we were talking about and he said 6-8 weeks. I asked him how will I know when it was time and the vet said you'll know. I took Chipper home and loved him and spoiled him and tried not to cry. The first few weeks went well and I thought maybe the vet was wrong but then I noticed the blood in the urine and the frequent accidents. Easter Sunday came and all my family came to the house and everyone was saying how great Chipper looked and he was playing like a puppy he was so happy to see everyone. The next morning I get up and he is so sick just lying in bloody urine and his eyes were so sad. He didn't even lift his head just stared at me. I talked to him and petted him, kissed him and he just stared at me and I knew that it was time to say good-bye. It was so hard to do but I knew it was what was best for my little man. I had Chipper creamated with his favorite stuffed dog (Buddy Boy) and have him in a special place in my home. I cried for weeks and still think of him often. You'll know when the time is right to say good-bye to your little girl.

| Thank you all for your kind words and for sharing your experiences with me. I'm sorry to those who have had to go through this before. My husband is on his way home from taking Sasha to be put down. Rest In Peace, Sasha girl. May your days be pain-free and filled with more love than imaginable.

| Awww Sasha knows you loved her. In fact, there is a special place in heaven for people like you. It can't be easy taking in an elderly special needs baby knowing that your time with them is short and knowing you will get attached. You did that undonditionally, and she loves you more than you will ever know and made her last days so much happier and bearable. Hugs to you! |

| Sometimes "loving" means "letting go". I am sorry for the pain you feel. You gave your girl some happy life, and memories. As she gave you! R.I.P. little one...

| I am so sorry that you and Sasha have come to this point in your relationship. I have no words of wisdom so I'll just send and . I've been there, done that with a beloved Chow Chow and I know how much pain I felt when we had to let her go. |
