| Bailey got spayed yesterday... now her belly is bloated/firm? Has anyone ever heard of this? I just called the vet and have a check up appt. tomorrow at 10am. She had a little diarrhea yesterday about an hour after I brought her home but not much. I'm not sure if she has had a bowel movement today or not (Couldn't tell which was Carson's and which was her's). She has eaten maybe a 1/2 cup of food today and is acting pretty normal?

| Girl I don't know... I can't remember that far back when we had Lilly spayed if hers was like that or not. Hope everything is ok and I'm posting too so that I can bump this up again for you.

| I had my little puppy spayed at the end of October and I noticed that after a couple of days her tummy felt a little firmer than normal. She wasn't swollen or anything and she didn't seem to mind if a pressed gently on her stomach, so I didn't worry about it. It has now been almost three weeks and she's doing great. However, she never had diarrhea and had a normal bowel movement that same evening. Hope you find out everything is okay tomorrow! -C

| I wonder if it could just be gas? You know like we all get with abdominal surgery? |

| Hope you get good news at your vet. Rio was just spayed yesterday (11/17) and had 4 baby teeth pulled too. She had a normal poo and a BIG pee in the evening and ate in the evening (although I had to hand feed her). Today (day 2) she had a normal poo and pee this morning and has eaten two small meals already. Her belly has always felt firm, so I don't think there's any change there. Good luck with your baby! |

I'm glad you are taking her to your vet to be safe, though. Let us know what he says. | |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I think Cali had a hard tummy but her incisions started to look like they were starting to separate so I took her in and they gave her if I remember correctly a little steroid to reduce the swelling. Hope all goes well tomorrow.
