I cannot afford the amount the treatment costs. So they gave him more SQ fluids and sent us home with antibiotics and tears in our hearts. He ate more than his usual meal and as of now 11:45 has not vomited or had any diarrhea. I hope this are good signs. |
I am going through the same thing. My Simcha is right now in the vet hospital now since Monday night. It is extremely costly but I just could not put him down. They need to be hydrated mostly. It can take a number of days to recover with treatment. But this is very difficult to do at home. Even after they come home they are contagious for awhile and you need to bleach everything. There are some things that might help... like Parvaid and you can look into doing the hydration thing at home. It is extemely important to keep them hydrated. This is the first day I felt encouraged. I seen him drinking water on his own out of a bowl and they are giving him some fluids now like ensure for dogs. He threw up the baby food. Just keep praying and trust God. I know how you feel! Believe me!
