Senior Yorkie Talker | Is there something for pain? My Bella is 6 months old and weighs just under 4lbs, I thinks she has some type of tooth ache because she hasn't eaten since 8 this morning. I tried to give her a treat when she used her pad and when I put it to her mouth she licked it up and then it fell right out. I noticed that she was trying to chew it put was having difficulties and then it would fall right out. Plus I also noticed she has been really mellow today and I've even heard her whine and wimper a bit. Can I give her some children's tylenol? |

The 3 Musketeers Donating Member | Some of the Children's Tylenol has been recalled. I can't remember where I found the list. If you have liquid Benedryl, I know that would work but she'll probably fall asleep. You will probably want to get her to the vet in the morning so they can take care of the problem.

| Perhaps Bella is teething ...does she have any loose teeth that may be causing her discomfort when chewing?

| Since you don't really know the source of the pain, no meds should be given until she is vet checked. Good luck finding one in your new location. |

| No Tylenol. Toxic to dogs. Benadryl isn't used for pain. If she is in pain, the vet can give her something.

Senior Yorkie Talker | Bella has all her adult teeth now, and in addition she still has 3 baby k9's so I think she might have to get those pulled. They aren't loose. SO I wonder if those could be causing any discomfort since she has crowding of k9 teeth. BTW, I don't think that is the proper name for the teeth but it's the closest to get my point across. I hope I don't sound too lame. |
