My 12 year old yorkie has been diagnosed with a kidney tumor. We have to decide to have surgery. I am on the bubble as to making the decision if I want to pit Jim through that. He acts just fine and eats good and plays. I don't know how long he will be able to continue feeling well.

Are you going to experts? Wouldn't just stick with my local vet for something like this. They should be able to tell you whether it is worth putting your baby through this....what the prognosis is. Do they know if it is malignant or not? My little Cocoa is 11 yrs. old and we put her through gallbladder surgery. She is doing great. Thoughts and prayers. ~Joanne~

Sorry to hear that. I would get a consult with a kidney specialist if you haven't already. It may help in your decision. Good luck.
