| neuter scar can someone tell me how a healthy neuter scar is supposed to look like? i took my yorkie in on wednesday morning to get neutered and when i picked him up that night, the scar was red. i don't remember my other yorkie's scar looking like that when i got him fixed. anyways, i called the vet that night and they told me it was perfectly normal. the following morning, i couldn't rest because i was paranoid and i believed that his stitches had come undone. I took him to the vet to have it checked out and soon after they looked at it, they sent us both home. they said there was no swelling or signs of infection. anyways, it's been 3 days and the scar is still red. it looks like there's dried blood over the stitches, but i can't tell if it's a scab or if the wound is open. i feel like i'm just being paranoid. can anyone tell me how their yorkie's neuter scar looked like?

| Well I had Ryle neutered last week and it was of course red that night, and even for the next couple of days it was red, but not red like swollen hurt kinda red just from the stitches kinda red. Now a week later you can barely see any traces of stitches. I would just make sure he isn't licking or trying to pull at them to irritate the area. |
