| My Pregnant Yorkie is Coughing My dog is about a month and a half pregnant, (with purebreds) and for about a couple weeks now, she has been having this hacking cough that sounds like shes choking, but its short, and I havnt paid much attention to it because I didnt think it was too serious. My boyfriend came over last night, and told me that it WAS something I should pay serious attention to. He told me to schedule a vet appointment and we'll go together. I'm going to schedule her for this weekend, but does anyone know if it's really too serious? or what I should expect? Thanks for all your help! |

| It could be kennel cough or collapsed trachea you just dont know untill you have her vet checked. Here is a thread about collapsed trachea and what it sounds like. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...d-trachea.html

| Thanks Chachi! It doesnt quite sound like any of those, but its closest to the Kennel Cough...but its dry, short and she gags like she got something stuck in her throat... do you think its kennel cough? You can kind of relate it to a "Hairball Cough" Last edited by SabinaYorkies; 08-27-2009 at 09:25 AM. |
