Blister or Pimple like bumps all over. Hi everyone. I am needing yalls help. I just noticed blister like bumps all over her body, and there are a few on her pee pee. I know they are itchy because I put peroxide on a few on her tummy and her little foot started going like it felt good to itch it. Anyone heard of this or seen this before? |
Was she around something she's normally not? Weeds, food ect. Could be allergy of some sort. I would call the vet. Could it be this?http://en.allexperts.com/q/Ask-Veter...mple-bumps.htm Hope that helps |
We are going to the vet today. I hate seeing her itch all the time. I will let everyone know what he says when we get back. Thanks everyone for all your help and advice. |
Could be flea allergy. |
I wanted to update everyone, we went to the vet yesterday and he said it could be chigger bites or an allergy. He was not really sure what it is but he gave her a antihistamine shot and said if that does not work come back in 2 days. So, $50 later, still not sure what it is and she is still itchy, but not as bad, we will see ........ |
Try a chamomile tea bath. Take a clean gallon milk jug, steep 3 or 4 tea bags in a coffee cup pour it in the jug and fill the rest of the way with water. Bath as usual and rinse well then pour the tea over the dog from head to toe. Don't worry about getting in eyes or mouth as it's totally non-toxic. Do not rinse the tea off just dry as usual. It works great for allergy skin and eyes. The Chamomile deactivates the allergens. |
What food does she eat? Thanks in large part to input on this website I found out that Remy is most likely allergic to chicken. He started getting strange "pimple-like" bumps on his underside, and became very itchy. Since frequently "you are what you eat" I started with an elimination diet before heading off to the vet and getting drugs. His kibble was Before Grain, and it had both chicken and turkey meal in it. Plus, his homecooked option had chicken. I've eliminated all chicken and in less than a week have seen dramatic improvement. Oh, and I used aloe on the spots and they have dried up and gone away (I grow my on aloe plants). So while I'm not entirely positive he is allergic to chicken I am not going to argue with the results... |
Aveeno baths help with the itching. I get the oatmeal packets of Aveeno and after Sadie has been outside playing in the grass I soak her in an Aveeno bath. It is a bit high maintenance but with a Yorkie that is allergic to grass, mold, trees, etc it is well worth the time it takes. |
Actually the chamomile rinse is faster as you don't have to bath them to use it . It deactivates the allergens weather you bath or not, you can just pour it on and let them dry. That's the good thing about it , you can use it between baths as well. |
Chipper had allergies and he would get small pimples that would blister. When the blister broke he would have small sores. It reminded me of Chicken Pox. When he had a real bad case of pimples he had to be treated with predisone and an antibiotic to heal all the sores. |

thanx bark@ulater!!!! manina,miley:aimeeyork,max:animal36 |
I've had Darwin (one of my yorkies) have a blister. Then another month I saw it on Lipstik (my other yorkie). I believe these were ant bites. Could that be your situation? Keep us posted. |
The bumps are gone and she is not itchy anymore. She has scabs from all the places that were itchy but eveything is healing and looking good. Not sure exactly what they gave her but he said it was a very low dose of antihistamine. I will have to watch her close to see if she breaks out again and remember what she was around if it happens again. Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I will keep the tea thing in mind in case she gets itchy again, it could be a quick fix. |
So happy to hear that the little one is doing better! |
Chamomile Tea !!! Thanks for the heads up on the tea. Well She got her bath, she is still itchy but a lot less, this is her first bath with this tea, she smells good and the hair is very smooth and shiny, I'm going to give her a bath with tea every week for a month and see if help. I check the back yard and found 4 big hills of ants, so now I will work on that Lol ! maybe that's what she may b having trouble with. Bark@ulater!!!!! manina,miley:aimeeyork,max:animal36 |
I told you it would work :D You can give her a rinse daily between baths. Depending what the reaction is sometimes it takes a couple of rinses but I have been using it for years on my rescues and I have never had it fail me. And I love that it's nontoxic and you can use it daily if needed. |
thanx again, I will post again after a few rinse, I know she will not b happy with so much water. bark@ulater!!!! manina,miley:aimeeyorkmax:animal36 |
Probably not so happy about the water, but allot happier about being less itchy. Chamomile is a soother for inside and out, you can use it for stress and for tummy aches too. If you can see the spots you can use a rag and just blot the spots. But if she's covered in rash she'll deff need a daily rinse. It also works for frostbite on humans and pets. My cousin had a dog that got frostbite on all her feet, her pads were black and had been like that for 3 days. They had to carry her out and hold her up to go potty. I got there the night of day 3 and told her to mix the tea, we soaked her feet in the tea and the next morning her pads were mostly pink and for the first time in 3 days she could walk on her own. I have told people here about the tea before but I don't think anyone has tried it yet till you. It's so much healthier then most allergy meds and cheaper too. |
Thanks again She got a raise this morning , and if looks can kill Lol !!! they r not all over , on her paws and her tummy area, I feel so sorry for her she crys and itch she bite her front paws.:( I do check her every time she go's outside, I can't find anything on her and the vet and my self check for fleas no fleas, so I can say it's the ants, I'm working on that today. I have them both on K9 advantix every month like clock work. She is pad train, but she will cry at the back door if I don't let her out to play and run around the yard. Max is going fine , I think the ants r afraid of him Lol ! He needs to go out he refuse to use the pad. I can thank u enough, I hope it work for good, I will never stop giving it to her, I think I will raise him out too, so he doesn't feel left out Lol !!! bark@ulater!!!!! manina,miley:aimeeyork,max:animal36 |
So Happy to hear it's working. If she has really bad spots you can lay the tea bag directly on them after her rinse, it helps draw out the toxins and dry up the sores. |
Will any tea bag work or does it have to be chamomile i have not seen this where do you buy it |
I've heard about this too, this method of the chamomille tea baths are used in latin america also. Yes, it only works with chamomille && u can buy it at any grocery store in the tea/coffee section. |
Thanks Claudia I am going to look for it and pour some on my little girl Laci she scratches and there is nothing on her no fleas or bumps |
