I heard that Drontal is strong and should not be given without the vet recommendation and supervision... is that right? As i mentioned we use the Panacur for years, never had any problems with it. Never had these "tape" worms either but learning is always a plus... Thanks a lot !

The reason we decided to worm both dogs was because they came from the same breeder (have only been with us for 3 weeks), and it is possible that if there was a flea problem where they were living that both may have swallowed infective fleas (they are on flea medicine now, and neither one of them appears to have fleas at this point as far as the vet could tell during examination). I guess you could say it was an overly precautionary move on our part. | |
