Lady is epileptic and has liver disease from years of seizure medication, but she gets Valium after seizures. She has no problem with it.

I hope that everyone who reads this sad story will follow Dr. Center's recommendation that all Yorkie puppies be bile acid tested after 20 weeks because of the high rate of congenital liver shunts in the breed. Knowing if your Yorkie has a shunt or MVD can help your vet select the proper medical treatment and alert him to possible serious reactions to vaccinations and complications from anesthesia.

Did you have a necropsy done? That will be the only way to find out Cali's cause of death and is probably required by your health guarantee if you got one.
