| Oliver's sick :( I woke up this morning to my Oliver throwing up. This weekend I went out of town and left him at a doggy hotel, the owners assured me the food they feed the dogs will be fine, but I'm pretty sure that he is sick because he switched foods for two days... Although I got him back yesterday at 9am and he was fine until this morning. He threw up about 5 times, and he has runny stools. I didn't take him to the vet because my boyfriend went online and noticed that white foamy bile is normal, but I'm going back home at 1130 to check on him, if he is still throwing up I will take him. I tried to make him drink water but he refuses, How long will it take until he's better?! I feel so bad for him

| Since Yorkies can dehydrate so quickly, it really isn't safe to leave one alone that has thrown up 5 times. At the very least he may need PediaLyte. The vet may give him something for nausea but it is impossible to say when this will stop.

| I didn't want to leave him, but I have to confirm payroll today so there is absolutley no way I could stay home... . I'll make sure to make him drink when I go home for lunch. I hope he gets better soon

| Poor Oliver. If he's not drinking and is vomiting I would take him to the vet. He may need fluids. Good luck, I hope he feels better soon. The food change was probably too radical for him.

| When you get home, if he is still thowing up and you take him to the vet, maybe you can leave him there until you are out of work...

| Thanks guys, if he's sick at lunch I'll def. leave him at the vet. Do you think I should feed him? Usually I feed him in the morning and at night, but he didn't eat this morning, should I try to get him to eat at lunch? I read somewhere to wait 6 hrs, but since he's only 5 pounds im not sure
